Jurajska takes care of its looks
Retail & leisureThe area will get a new interior design and lighting. There will be new decorative accents and sofas. The entrance to the multi-storey car park is also to be modernized. The work on the first entrance has already been launched. “After the modernization of the restaurant zone at the beginning of 2016 it is our next investment in the modern outlook. The entrance to the mall is to be more spacious and brighter but it is also meant to use its area better,” announces Roman Bugajczyk, director of the facility. A relaxation area at the embankment of the Warta River measuring in excess of 8,500 sqm is to be completed in the spring of 2018. The work on the area has lasted since last year. A city boulevard with an interestingly arranged garden is to be developed at the site. The area will include a total of 1.3 sqm of paths and two playgrounds with a total area of 350 sqm. One will be addressed to young children and the other – to older ones. The main square of the embankment will have an area of 500 sqm and it will include the so-called wet fountain and a shallow pool. A paved avenue will be built along the Warta River.
“We are willing to invest because the changes that take place pay off and this is not only about a very positive reception of our facility. Investments translate into visits. In 2017 we had nearly 7 mln customers, which was the largest number from the opening in 2009. Changes are also noticeable by our tenants, because investments affect the turnover, and it has also been growing. Consequently, having seen our changes and success, our existing tenants are more willing to develop, modernize or invest in a larger area. The changes have meant that we have also become a much more attractive gallery for the client and the new tenant,“ emphasizes Roman Bugajczyk.
In 2017, Galeria Jurajska launched three car parks: for bicycles, motorcycles and coaches. A new IT system based on detectors equipped with so-called smart cameras has been installed in its multi-storey car park. The system's innovation is a mobile application that allows the customer to find the car after entering the license number. The application works on smartphones and in infokiosks located in the mall. In the summer of last year Galeria Jurajska has put into operation two rest zoneprojects. The first one was a special waiting room with sofas and charging stations for mobile devices. The second one – an extended leisure and teaching area where a freshwater aquarium has been introduced next to the saltwater aquarium. Schools and nursery schools have organized e.g. outdoor biology and ecology lessons at the site for over a year. Galeria Jurajska belongs to GTC. The total area of the building amounts to 130,000 sqm, of which 49,000 sqm is a shopping and entertainment area that includes almost 200 shops, service and food outlets as well as a Cinema City multiplex cinema.
