Waimea to build a second cargo terminal
The airport in Szczecin is to recieve another cargo terminal
POLAND Waimea Holding is to construct a cargo terminal in Szczecin-Goleniów this year.

A Waimea SPV has signed a letter of intent with Szczecin-Goleniów Airport to purchase 4.5 ha for construction. The new terminal of app. 5,000 sqm will be an integral part of Solidarity Szczecin-Goleniów Airport and will provide comprehensive air freight services in West Pomerania. The general contractor will be selected and construction will start in Q3 this year while delivery is scheduled for the end of Q2 2019. The investment cost of the project is estimated at over PLN 30 mln. “Goleniów Airport has a perfect location for an air freight hub for West Pomerania and North-East Germany. This will be our second cargo terminal in Poland [the first is in Rzeszów-Jasionka – editor’s note], which we will build next to the airport. (...) We plan to build a professional terminal with state-of-the-art equipment that will guarantee a fast and efficient air freight service. We see great potential in our project, which will successfully support the rapidly developing e-commerce industry in West Pomerania,” claims Andrzej Rosiński, CEO of Waimea Holding.
