Banks turn to Hogan Lovells
Centrum marszałkowska is to open this quarter
POLAND Law firm Hogan Lovells advised Bank Pekao and MBank on deals that have been signed with BBI Development. Pekao was advised on financing the Centrum Marszałkowska project and MBank was advised on organising a BBI bond issue.

Pekao is the primary lender to a BBI Development joint venture with the ‘Społem’ Warszawska Spółdzielnia Spożywców ‘Śródmieście’ cooperative to develop the Centrum Marszałkowska building in the centre of Warsaw. The construction loan is worth EUR 48.78 mln and the investment loan is worth EUR 68 mln. The bank additionally issued a VAT loan of PLN 20 mln. Hogan Lovells also gave advice to MBanl, which was acting as the issue agent, dealer, payment agent, depositary, calculating agent and technical agent for a BBI bond issue programme worth up to PLN 110 mln. The bank has already completed the issue of three-year bonds with a combined face value of PLN 40.3 mln.
