Profits rising for BIK

POLAND Biuro Inwestycji Kapitałowych (BIK) has reported that in 2017 its revenue rose by 5.4 pct y-o-y to PLN 17.7 mln.

The net profit attributable to the parent company comes to PLN 4.5 mln, up by 19 pct. The company’s cash position rose by 4.6 pct, to PLN 94.3 mln, while the value of its real estate portfolio rose by 4.5 pct to PLN 192.7 mln. The LTV fell in 2017 by 3 percentage points, to 61.7 pct. Last year design work began on the new Centrum Logistyczne Kraków III in Targowisko near Kraków. Construction work on the 20,000 sqm project is to start this year. The company is also to begin a number of other projects. “We are in the final phase of constructing a 12,000 sqm hall in Śląskie Centrum Logistyczne in Sosnowiec. The entire area is already leased. What is very important to us is that one of the tenants is a company that has been leasing space from us for almost ten years and has now decided to sign another long-term lease with us. Construction work on the last warehouse in this complex, with an area of 13,000 sqm, is to start in June this year at the latest and it should be completed by the end of the year. Then the entire logistics park will have an area of over 60,000 sqm,” states Mirosław Koszany, the president of Biuro Inwestycji Kapitałowych. “In the retail segment we delivered a 5,200 sqm retail park in Radom in March this year. As a result of this project the retail space managed by BIK increased by around 75 pct,” he added. The group currently manages three logistics parks: Centrum Logistyczne Kraków I, Centrum Logistyczne Kraków II and Śląskie Centrum Logistyczne in Sosnowiec with a total leasable area of 55,800 sqm. The company's portfolio also includes Retail Park Karpacka in Bielsko-Biała, with a leasable area of almost 7,000 sqm and Galeria Nad Potokiem in Radom with a useable area of 5,200 sqm.
