A new 18,600 sqm automatic shoe warehouse is to be built
POLAND WPIP (Wielkopolskie Przedsiębiorstwo Inżynierii Przemysłowej) is to build a new hall for footwear chain CCC’s logistics centre in Polkowice in Lower Silesia.
This is to be an 18,600 sqm storage warehouse with a ceiling height of 22m. The general contractor agreement was signed on April 11th.

“This is the second project carried out for this company. In 2011 we built for CCC a 23,000 sqm automated high storage hall – the largest automatic shoe warehouse in Central and Eastern Europe. The construction was a challenge due to the location of the warehouse in the mining impact zone. For the safety of the warehouse, we divided it into nine independent segments, separated by movement joints, of app. 36 x 54m,” explains Piotr Włodarczak, a project manager at industrial general contractor WPIP, which provides such services as the selection of land for projects, their design and construction, and maintenance services.
