POLAND Computing products retailer X-kom has opened new premises in the Częstochowa sub-zone of Euro-Park Mielec. As well as a 4,200 sqm office building it also contains an 8,000 sqm logistics centre. So far the employees of X-kom in Częstochowa have worked in three different buildings.

The design has been prepared by Architektoniczne Studio Projektowe studio, which has placed its emphasis on the comfort of the employees. Modern industrial arrangement and functional schemes are to provide friendly conditions for the staff. The interiors have been fitted-out in the loft style with the use of reinforced concrete elements, exposed installations and technical constructions, among other features. The use of concrete, glass and wood is a reference to the new technology and arrangements familiar from X-kom showrooms. Open space workstations have been located on three floors of the buildings.

The office building also includes a canteen, relaxation zones, game rooms, spacious kitchens, teamwork places, quiet work rooms and 18 meeting rooms equipped with modern teleconferencing systems. Employees also have access to more than 220 sqm of terraces and almost 200 parking spaces, as well as 50 spaces for push-bikes and twenty for motorcycles and scooters. The development costs for the offices come to app. PLN 70 mln.

“The opening of the new headquarters symbolically marks the beginning to X-kom’s next stage of development. I hope that the new headquarters will be a friendly and comfortable place,” says Michał Świerczewski, the CEO of X-kom.
