The Clark opens in Budapest

HUNGARY Hotel Clark has been built in the centre of Budapest by Market Építő on a plot that had been vacant for seventy years. The design is by Australian architect Anthony Gall.

Adam Clark square is named after the 19th century designer of the Buda Castle Tunnel.

Ten historic Budapest landmarks can be seen from the roof terrace of the 86-room hotel. The design included the restoration of columns from the Savings Bank building designed by Miklós Ybl, which had previously occupied the site before its destruction during the second world war.
