Żabka opens in Gliwice
Eventually the park is to comprise a total area of around 65,000 sqm

POLAND Żabka Poland has opened its 24,700 sqm logistics centre in the MLP Gliwice park.

Around 23,800 sqm is to be used for warehousing including 4,000 sqm of cold storage. The remaining space is to be used as social and office space. The centre was built by Depenbrock Poland in a design and build contract. The centre will provide employment for around 400 people. “We are very pleased to have delivered this modern warehousing centre. The project was completed on schedule and is tailor-made to the tenant’s individual needs. Our priority is to maintain a flexible partnership and satisfy the requirements of each company. As a result of which we are commercialising more and more space, rapidly developing our logistics parks and we are steadily increasing the scale of our business and raising the value of our group,” says Radosław T. Krochta, the president of the management board at MLP Group.

“What was key in selecting this particular location was to having the shortest possible distance from the new centre to as many of our stores as possible” said Katarzyna Słabowska, the logistics director in Żabka Poland.

“The logistics park in Gliwice still has a lot of potential for further expansion. We are convinced that the attractive location and professional service will attract more companies that want to invest in the region,” says Piotr Krawczyk, the BTS project manager at MLP. MLP Gliwice is located in Szałsza only 6 km north of Gliwice’s city centre next to the A1 motorway and national road no. 78. Eventually the park is to comprise class A buildings with a total area of around 65,000 sqm.
