KiK's new concept
POLAND The KiK discount chain expands its stores and introduces arrangement changes.
At the same time, the company will make its offer available via the internet channel. The company’s largest store currently in operation is the 850-metre Opole Turawa Park. It other store, in Sosnowiec, will have 1,000 sqm. Furthermore, KiK plans to continue the series of reopenings in the new format and to maintain their pace. There will be 500 stores in Poland with this logo by 2020. There are currently 220 of them. They typically occupy about 600-650 sqm. Furthermore, the chain will launch an online store. “In H2 2018, we plan to open an online store that will allow customers to enjoy shopping ‘conveniently, fashionably and imaginatively’ 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, including trade-free Sundays,” says Mariusz Kulik, the general director KiK. The chain announces that there will be 5,000 KiK stores by 2022. So far the brand has been present in 10 European countries but it also does not exclude expansion into new markets.
