The EBMR helmet allows a building to be seen on site even before a single brick has been laid
EUROPE Dutch engineering company Dura Vermeer and AR software developers Recreate have launched an augmented reality (AR) hard hat, which uses Xsens motion tracking and the Microsoft HoloLens to help display a 3D model of an architect’s plan on top of what the user actually sees.

The EBMR (Engineering Building Mixed Reality) helmet allows a building to be seen on site even before a single brick has been laid. Safety regulations require construction professionals to wear hard hats on site so Dura Vermeer saw the opportunity to use the mandatory safety equipment to show builders what they are to build.
