CZECH REPUBLIC Co-working office provider Spaces has leased almost 3,500 sqm in the Albatros Business Centre in Prague 1 and is to open in the spring of next year. The lease was brokered by JLL.

"For flexible office space, the most important factor is the location and the range of services in the neighbourhood. Prague 1 is the logical choice in this respect and, with the opening of Spaces, it will further strengthen its dominant position as the popular choice for these operators," says Martin Stričko a senior research analyst in JLL.

Spaces is part of the International Workplace Group (IWG). Having already opened branches in Romania and Poland, the Czech Republic will now be the third country within the CEE region where Spaces will operate.

With more than 3,000 office centres operating in 120 countries worldwide, IWG claims to be the largest provider of flexible office and co-working space.

"We are pleased that Prague will join other international and European metropolises that offer this popular co-working concept to all who are looking for a creative and inspirational place to work in. Spaces is not just a trendy design, it is primarily a professional workplace with a high-quality level of service and technology that meets the highest demands of multinational corporations which can meet local freelancers and start-up entrepreneurs in one place. It is a place that supports new ideas and partnerships. Expectations are great, but we have an attractive location and a successful proven concept, so we are ready to welcome our first clients in April 2019," says Karel Pelán, the country manager at IWG for the Czech and Slovak Republics.
