David walks into Raffles

POLAND The Walk with David design studio has designed the branding for four stores and service outlets in the Raffles Europejski Hotel Warsaw, including the Lourse Patisserie Warsaw, The Longbar, The Humidor and The Europejski Grill. “When creating each individual identity, we took into consideration the fact that Raffles Warsaw is a place that has remained in the hearts and memories of the Warsaw people, even while the shape and fortunes of the city around it changed,“ said Paweł Miklaszewski a partner of Walk with David.

For Lourse Patisserie Warsaw the studio has create a brand that communicated the tradition and luxury while being reminiscent of the original Lourse patisserie, which operated almost a century ago. “We created a variety of beautiful packages in iconic colours and all the boxes and packages where treated like jewellery boxes that encase delicious cakes, sweets and macaroons,“ said David Racchi partner and designer of Walk with David.

When designing the look and feel for the Europejski Grill the studio wanted to create a symbol that visually captured the essence of a grill but in a sophisticated way.

We were inspired by the colour scheme of the interior and the gold details found within the restaurant. All the materials used from the hand made menus, signage, aprons, and gold edge business cards were made to create a consistent branding that does not overwhelm and blends seamlessly with the decor and overall interior design.

Inspired by the Long Bar in Raffles Singapore, we created a simple logo highlighting the actual bars length. The idea was to have a hint of Asia for a modern look of today. The materials range from a simple elegant menu to gold/copper plated signage and sophisticated business cards with copper foil stamping.

Walk with David was also asked to add a simple logo to the Humidor. “What we created was a simple identity that deepens the club‘s character and also enhances peoples experience of a unique space in which you feel welcome,“ said David Racchi.
