POLAND Chatbots are helping in recruitment at such companies as Aviva, Budimex and Santander.

The tool to help find employees was designed by Emplocity. The chatbot operates on Facebook Messenger and will collect personal information as well as a CV from potential employees. The system will then draw up a shortlist and contact the applicants. The remaining stages of recruitment are conducted in the traditional way. The chatbot asks candidates for their contact data, qualifications, experience and financial expectations. The system complies with the provisions of the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation. The chatbot conducted more than a thousand interviews for Budimex over a three month period. It shortlisted 630 candidates and organised 100 interviews. Emplocity has recently started work on another, autonomous version of the chatbot, based on more advanced algorithms for which it has secured financing of PLN 4 mln in funding for this purpose. The project has an estimated cost of PLN 5.2 mln.
