Top Market continues expansion

Eurobuild CEE 10 October 2018
POLAND Polish grocery chain Top Market, owned by Polska Grupa Supermarketów, plans to open at least 20 new branches by the end of this year.

Currently the chain has 600 stores in the regions of Lublin, Pomerania, Warmia, Kujawy, Podlasie and Łódź. Now it has extended an invitation for more stores to join its franchise. “Our chain is currently focusing on organic growth, which includes an expansion in the number of our own-label goods. We’re also negotiating with small traders to expand our chain,” says Michał Sadecki, the CEO of Polska Grupa Supermarketów. Lubelski Handel has recently opened another store under the Top Market brand and Lewiatan Kujawy has also changed its brand. According to data from Roland Berger, Top Market is currently the third fastest-growing grocery chain in Poland. “In our activities, we try to follow the principle of buy-Polish. We are aware of how important it is to support domestic producers for the economy, which is why we provide our customers with the largest possible possible range of Polish products,” says Michał Sadecki.
