Back to the early 20th century

Back to the early 20th century
Lubartowska 20 will be built in an early 20th century style to fit in with the surrounding buildings
POLAND NC Investment (NCI) is working on building a tenement in a style imitating that of the turn of the last century at ul. Lubartowska 20 in Warsaw’s Praga Południe district.

The company is planning to reach the lockup stage before winter sets in. The northern façade of the building is adjacent to the southern side of the tenement at ul. Lubartowska 22, which dates back to 1934 and which is currently also being strengthened and renovated by NCI. Upon the completion of the work, both buildings are to form a single, unified whole. The foundation walls of Lubartowska 20 have already been cemented, while the ceiling slab of level zero has been completed and the construction of the walls and columns of the ground floor has begun.

“We have also strengthened the structure of the neighbouring tenement at no. 22 from the outside and it is waiting for the same technical measures inside,” explains Marcin Padzik, the construction manager for NC Construction.

“We are very pleased that one of our more ambitious projects is moving forward. We decided to integrate with the atmosphere of old Praga and the mood of that era. So we are not building anything in a contemporary style but we have made an effort to design a building that will be an adornment, not only to this street but also of the neighbouring quarters, recalling Praga’s interwar magnificence,” insists Piotr Laszkiewicz, the CEO of NCI.

NC Investment currently has seven different development projects underway in the capital city.
