WDP to build LPP 22,000 sqm Bucharest warehouse

Eurobuild CEE 05 November 2018
ROMANIA Belgian warehouse developer WDP Development is to build a 22,000 sqm logistics centre in Bucharest for LPP for the online sales of all the group’s brands throughout South-East Europe.

The completion of the project is planned for 2019. “The development of our brick and mortar chain in Poland and abroad as well as our significantly increasing share of online sales are challenges that require technologically advanced logistics facilities. Romania is one of our fastest developing markets where we see growing sales for all our brands, in particular online. Additionally this location also gives us the ability to efficiently serve the countries of South-Eastern Europe,” says Jacek Kujawa, LPP's deputy CEO for logistics and IT. LPP currently has more than 100,000 sqm of warehouses in locations such as Pruszcz Gdanski, Gdańsk, Stryków and Moscow. The group is currently planning to add a further 270,000 sqm over the coming years.
