BELARUS First New Yorker store in Belarus is to open in spring 2019 in Minsk. More openings are planned in the Belarusian capital city. We reported the plans of the chain related to entering the Belarusian market in July this year.
The German chain has not confirmed its plans related to this country to this day. However, the opening of the first store under this brand was reported by Igor Kuracz, a co-owner of the Green City shopping centre, which is part of a mixed-use complex under the same name in the Kamiennaja Gorka district. The first New Yorker store in Belarus will be opened in March 2019 and the store will occupy 1,000 sqm on the ground floor of the shopping centre. The chain is going to open several more stores in Minsk. According to information from the tut.by portal, the Galleria Minsk, Dana Mall and Galileo shopping centres are taken into consideration although there are problems with free spaces of appropriate size. The first New Yorker store in Russia was opened in 2005, in Ukraine and in Kazakhstan – in 2011. The company has already been trying to enter the Belarusian market on several occasions.
