Proptech pays for itself

Eurobuild CEE 10 December 2018
Proptech pays for itself
POLAND Property technology reduces costs and improves efficiency at work, although it is not an end in itself concluded the speakers at the ‘Tantalising Tech’ debate during the 24th Annual Property Market Convention in Poland, organised by Eurobuild Conferences.

The speakers included the moderator Bartosz Drobrowolski – the founder of Proptech Poland, Mirosław Ryba – a partner at EY, Aleksander Szybilski – an associate director at Cushman & Wakefield, and Bartosz Świniarski – an architect from Kuryłowicz & Associates.

Proptech is currently a trendy subject that receives a lot of publicity so questions arise about whether it is solely marketing. Miroslaw Ryba argued that proptech creates added value and investing in it has tangible benefits including more effective lease management and improved working conditions for employees. “Smart systems provide great opportunities today. Using technology you can not only manage a hotel but also automate the deliveries to the restaurant in it,” remarked Bartosz Świniarski. The speakers agreed that all sectors of the real estate market will benefit from new technology. Because it results not only in savings but also higher standards, which can result in higher sales.

Even traditional retail is being revolutionised with the introduction of self-service and automated stores and proptech is creating concrete benefits throughout the sector.
