A sound mind in the tower
Office & mixed-use developmentschedule 29 October 2018
POLAND Zdrofit chain of fitness clubs has joined the tenants of the Mennica Legacy Tower in Warsaw.
The club will occupy almost 1,500 sqm on two floors of the tower podium. The building at the junction of ul. Prosta and ul. Żelazna in Warsaw's Wola is operated by Golub GetHouse and Mennica Polska [the Mint of Poland]. The Zdrofit brand has been present on the fitness market for more than 13 years and its chain consists of several dozen clubs all over Poland. The brand promotes physical activity which is cultivated in a responsible way, putting health first. Its two-level club in the Mennica Legacy Tower will be open to the public and round the clock and it will have an underground car park connected to the lift. Club members will be able to use e.g. group classes in fitness rooms, personal trainings, cross training, bicycle classes and relaxation zones equipped with saunas. “When preparing the concept of the Mennica Legacy Tower, we wanted not only to create a modern, top-class office building but also a place for aggregating various activities. In a survey conducted several months ago by Colliers International, called ‘Purchases in an office building’, employees of Warsaw office buildings pointed to fitness clubs as one of the key amenities that is expected in a modern workplace,” comments Czarek Jarząbek, the founder and the CEO of Golub GetHouse. “The location of one of the Zdrofit chain clubs in the Mennica Legacy Tower complex was determined by the excellent location – in the very centre, near a significant amount of office buildings and residential estates,” reports Przemysław Szczęsny, a board member of Zdrofit. The lease agreement has been signed for 10 years. Golub Gethouse was advised by Colliers International and Greenberg Traurig LLP during the negotiation process. The 140-metre Mennica Legacy Tower and adjacent 43-metre Budynek Zachodni will have a total office area of 65,630 sqm. The Goettsch Partners studio from Chicago is responsible for the architectural design of the complex. It has chosen the Epstein design studio as its local partner. The tenants of the Mennica Legacy Tower office space include the law offices of Noerr Biedecki and Allen & Overy as well as the leader of the co-working space – WeWork, which became the sole tenant of Budynek Zachodni. The tenant mix of the complex will be made more attractive by the retail and service space which will be occupied by e.g. the Meet & Eat restaurant concept. The project is created in accordance with the requirements of the BREEAM certificate with the Outstanding rating. The completion of the entire project is planned for autumn 2019.
