Clariant takes more of Monopolis
The first phase of Monopolis complex will be opened before the summer

POLAND Swiss chemical company Clariant has expanded its lease in the Monopolis complex in Łódź from around 4,000 sqm to almost 5,000 sqm.

This will be the only office of Clariant in Poland and one of the company’s three regional headquarters across the world. The company already employs 300 people in the city. “We decided to consolidate our offices and move to the converted office space in Monopolis at the beginning of the year. However, due to the very rapid growth of our company, the original area of 4,000 sqm has become insufficient for our needs,” says Paweł Pańczyk, president the board of Clariant Services, commenting on the deal.

The first phase of Monopolis complex will be opened before the summer and will comprise the recently converted old industrial buildings with a total gla of over 10,000 sqm, including the 7,200 sqm three-storey building in the centre of the development where Clariant's new office is to be located.

As well as the office space the project’s first stage will include a bistro, a theatre a nursery school, and other amenities.

During the negotiations the landlord Virako was advised by JLL, while the tenant was represented by Cushman & Wakefield.
