CA Immo offloads Győr mall
Dunacenter has a gla of 16,500 sqm and 20 retail units
HUNGARY CA Immo has sold the Dunacenter shopping centre in Győr to Indotek.
Colliers International represented the seller during the negotiations and the price has not been disclosed.

Ede Gulyás, the managing director of CA Immo stated that: “Selling the Dunacenter is the last step to focus our investment portfolio on office properties, which is something we have been doing for many years including in Hungary. While working closely with our tenants, we have taken advantage of the improving economy over recent years to stabilise the shopping centre’s operations by signing new leases and extending existing ones. We are sure that this will be for Indotek a good basis for the centre’s successful operation and the further development of the business in the future for which we wish them every success.”

Dániel Jellinek, the CEO and majority share holder of Indotek explained the reason for the purchase by saying: “Our company is becoming an increasingly significant player on the Hungarian retail real estate market. In our transactions we most value properties where we see good opportunities to create value with added investment. We strive to upgrade the shopping centres in our portfolio to keep them up-to-date with market trends, as well as reposition them to effectively serve the local community.”

And he added, “Dunacenter in Győr fits into this strategy well with its advantageous location and its space available to be leased. Our goal is to modernise and operate the centre so that it meets 21st century expectations and satisfies the needs of both our tenants and the customers visiting the shopping centre.”

Dunacenter, which has a gla of 16,500 sqm and 20 retail units, was completed in 2009 close to the M1 motorway.
