Helios comes to Ostrów
Galeria Ostrovia opened in 2011

POLAND Cinema chain Helios has leased 1,160 sqm in the Galeria Ostrovia shopping centre in Ostrów Wielkopolski.

The cinema will have four screens with around 600 seats. The tenant was advised by Colliers International. “I am happy that once again we have the opportunity to build one of our four-screen cinemas, adding to the entertainment offered by modernised shopping centres in smaller towns. I am also sure that the people of Ostrów Wielkopolski will be happy to come and visit our modern cinema making them more willing to spend their free time in the local shopping centre,” says Tomasz Jagiełło, the president of Helios.

Helios, which is a subsidiary of the Agora Group, has 46 cinemas with 261 screens and over 51,000 seats. It operates mainly in large towns, but it is also present in some of the largest cities in the country.

“The extension of Galeria Ostrovia’s range of services by its owner Saller, with the introduction of a multiplex meets the demands of the people from Ostrów Wielkopolski as well as those from neighbouring towns, who up until now have had to travel to Kalisz to go to the cinema,” says Anna Radecka an associate director at Colliers International.

Galeria Ostrovia, opened in 2011 and has 42,000 sqm gla with around 100 stores, including a Tesco hypermarket and an Obi DIY store.
