One bid to build it all

POLAND Rafako has placed the only bid in the tender to construct the Memory and Identity Museum [Muzeum Pamięć i Tożsamość] in Toruń under a design and build contract.
However the tender remains unawarded because Rafako agreed to do the work for PLN 117.7 mln net (app. PLN 144.7 mln gross), while the budget for the project is only PLN 86.96 mln gross.
“The deadline for completing the work will be100 weeks from the signing of the contract,” stated the company in a press release. The John Paul II Memory and Identity Museum in Toruń has been commissioned by the Lux Veritatis Foundation together with the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. Rafako is majority owned by PBG.
