Panattoni announces its expansion into the Middle East with the launch of an operation in Saudi Arabia. The company’s initial focus is on three of the largest Saudi Arabian cities: Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam. The move marks a milestone for Panattoni in its ambition to capitalise on emerging opportunities in key global markets in the Middle East and Asia.

The Shire - Beyond Coworking in the Warsaw Spire C building was opened according to schedule. 40 pct of the 1500 sqm of office space has been leased even before the launch.
Land acquisitions
CTP has expanded its Polish land bank by nearly half a million sqm. The company has purchased investment land in four locations that provide the opportunity to build approximately 200,000 sqm of leasable space.

Panattoni has begun construction on a new industrial park in Będzin. The first stage of the work, that has already been launched, will comprise a 27,500 sqm building constructed on a speculative basis.

Two more companies have become tenants of Diuna, part of the Warsaw portfolio of Syrena Real Estate and PineBridge Benson Elliot. Intrum has leased nearly 370 sqm and Carrier Chłodnictwo took up about 500 sqm in the complex.

Panattoni has completed a sales transaction in Germany. Clarion Partners Europe has acquired a prime logistics hub for EUR 75 mln near Duisburg.

Kreo, Ghelamco's Kraków office project, has achieved BREEAM certification at the Outstanding level. The building also has a WELL and Green Building Standard pre-certificate, and is also in the process of Smart Score, Wired Score and "Barrier-free building" certification.

Garbe Industrial Real Estate has secured another plot of land in Rüdenhausen, Germany. The Hamburg-based project developer is planning a logistics centre with a total area of around 19,200 sqm on the site.

The JV of Partners Group and Peakside Capital Advisors has completed the construction of the first warehouse facility in City Point Targówek. The 7,000 sqm building fully leased to DPD Polska is the part of a complex which will provide nearly 100,000 sqm space in the biggest park of last-mile logistics in the Warsaw boundaries.

According to the Berlin 2024 Residential Market Report by real estate financier Berlin Hyp and real estate service provider CBRE, purchase prices have fallen, while pressure on the rental housing market continues to increase. As a result, rental prices are continuing to rise sharply.

IHG Hotels & Resorts and Novum Hospitality announced a long-term agreement that will double IHG’s presence in Germany to more than 200 hotels in almost 100 cities through Holiday Inn – the niu brand collaboration and European debuts for IHG’s Garner and Candlewood Suites.

Hillwood Polska has started its first investment in the Poznań market. As part of the Hillwood Poznań - Czempiń project, the company is building a warehouse complex of nearly 130,000 sqm.

Centrum Černý Most, a shopping centre in the Prague region, is set to undergo a significant expansion of 9,100 sqm that will add over 30 new shops and restaurants, as well as additional screens to the centre’s multiplex cinema.
Redkom Development sold 100 pct of shares in the company holding the Glinianka complex. The retail park, located near Warsaw, has been bought by CEE-Big Europe.
Terg, the owner of Media Expert, plans to strengthen its portfolio of investments in its own retail locations. The company wants to put into operation facilities with a total area of 72,000 sqm within the next two years.
Smart Park Poland and RG Leasing announced the latest progress in the implementation of their investment projects. After last year's openings in Mława and Wąbrzeźno, more locations are coming up.
The project of expansion at Turawa Park – which received a building permit last year – has now entered the construction phase, with the handover to the general contractor. In support of this project, Focus Estate Fund has secured financing through a credit facility provided by BNP Paribas Bank.
Redkom has finalised the purchase of the property earmarked for the development of the Przystanek Karkonosze retail park. The operator in the facility under construction will be Lidl Polska.
Leroy Merlin leased two retail spaces in Bucharest with a combined area of 21,000 sqm from the Supernova Group.
According to data from the Cushman & Wakefield Echinox, the development activity in the Romanian retail market remains animated. Close to 215,000 sqm of retail spaces were delivered in 2023, the highest level during the last seven years.
Cushman & Wakefield has summarized the situation on the Polish retail market in 2023, which saw heightened development activity, with about 450,000 sqm of new retail space delivered. The Polish retail sector continued to recover, as confirmed by the number of debuts. Meanwhile, the slower price growth bolstered consumer sentiment, leading to higher retail turnover levels.
39 new brands entered the Czech retail market last year, a record number achieved in the past ten years, according to Cushman & Wakefield’s monitoring. Some of the most notable brands include Victoria's Secret, Popeyes, Signorvino, Rossopomodoro and Zadig & Voltaire.
In this year's 33rd edition of the Cushman & Wakefield Main Streets Across the World ranking, the Czech Pařížská street has been ranked 11th in Europe and the first in the CEE region. The survey compares nearly 50 countries around the world by the level of retail rents on the most expensive shopping street in each country.
Scallier has opened another retail park in Romania. The 8,500 sqm development was built in Mosnita, a town on the outskirts of Timisoara. The facility is almost fully leased.
