First topping off for Varso
The construction work on the central building of Varso Place has now reached a height of 81m

POLAND HB Reavis has topped off the central building of the Varso Place complex in central Warsaw. Most of the space in Varso 1, which has reached its target height of 81m, will be occupied by a Nyx hotel.

The general contractor of the project is HB Reavis Construction, which has Warbud as the main subcontractor, with the construction scheduled to finish this year. The topping off at the next building of the complex – Varso 2 – should take place this summer, probably be in August.

Varso Place will comprise Varso Tower (310m in height including the spire) designed by the Foster + Partners studio, as well as Varso 1 and Varso 2 designed by HRA Architekci. The above-ground floors of all three buildings are currently under construction and will be put into operation in stages – the completions of both Varso 1 and Varso 2 are scheduled for the end of 2019. As well as the first Nyx hotel in Poland they will also house the Cambridge Innovation Center.

Varso Tower should be ready in around two years’ time. Varso Place will contain a total of 144,000 sqm of leasable space.
