Opr./edited AZ 16 April 2019

POLAND Lidl is to launch an online store for Poland – lidl-sklep.pl.

Initially, the range of goods available from the portal will not include food and will be divided eight categories, including home, bathroom and garden accessories as well as clothing and sports equipment.

Prices for Lidl’s online goods will be the same as in brick-and-mortar stores of the chain with 650 different products available from the launch of the service.

“In this initial phase, we will start with a small amount of goods. And in a special internet offer, we will also sell the products added to our stock on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays,” announced Maksymilian Braniecki, the CEO of Lidl Polska.

Purchases will be provided within three working days by couriers InPost and Geis. For purchases of more than PLN 149, delivery will be free, but for cheaper shopping baskets there will be a PLN 9.90 surcharge. The billing can done via online transfer, payment card or with the Blik app for Polish mobile devices.

Customers of the Lidl online store will have 30 days to return the goods free of charge, with these shipments to be handled by Poczta Polska (the Polish Post).

ince last year, Lidl has also been installing InPost parcel lockers outside its stores, which will now also function as collection points for e-orders.
