Girteka plans new headquarters
LITHUANIA Transport and logistics company Girteka Logistics is to move its headquarters to the Girteka Campus development in Vilnius in 2021.

The 16 ha campus is to eventually include a number of office buildings, a truck service centre and a 4,000 sqm shopping and centre. The company is to invest around EUR 60 mln in the project. Girteka has appointed Sirin Development to develop the project.

“Moving to a new home will symbolically mark our 25th anniversary. A quarter of a century ago we started with a single truck and three employees. Now, our organisation has developed into one of Europe’s leading carriers. We are very pleased that our large team will soon be able to work together in one place,” says Edvardas Liachovičius, the CEO of Girteka Logistics.

Girteka Campus is to be built next to Vilnius airport, at the intersection of Liepkalnio and Sodybų streets. The 16 ha site will include 26,000 sqm of offices. Around 2,500 people are to be employed at the company’s new headquarters, many of whom are currently based in different locations around Vilnius.

Construction work will begin in the spring of 2020, and the company is to move in in the summer of 2021.

Austrian-based ATP Architects is responsible for the design, having been appointed after winning an international architectural competition.
