Murapol buys more Katowice land

Eurobuild CEE 15 May 2019
POLAND Murapol has signed a preliminary agreement to purchase a 6.8 ha investment plot in Katowice’s Ligota district for PLN 34 mln net.

Murapol intends to build a residential estate with around 1,200 housing units on the property. The final contract should be signed before November 30th, 2020, once the conditions have been met, which include Murapol being granted a final building permit for the project. “This year Katowice came first in the Cities of the Future ranking which assesses how attractive cities are for direct foreign investment. This rapidly growing city is at the centre of area with a population of over 2 mln and it has an interesting investment climate for many businesses, including large international companies,” says Nikodem Iskra, the CEO of Murapol. Grupa Murapol has been operating in the city since 2008. Over this period it has delivered more than 1,200 residential units in three residential projects – Murapol Bażantów, Mała Skandynawia, and Murapol Śląskie Tarasy and the company has a portfolio in the city that will eventually house over 3,000 residents.
