Frisco from near Warsaw

Eurobuild CEE 06 June 2019
POLAND Frisco.pl has opened a new logistics centre near Klaudyn near Warsaw.

The space of around 11,000 sqm is divided into a number of zones, including for admissions, storage and shipping and is serviced by a robot that can pack up to 420 boxes an hour. The warehouse has a special zone set aside for fresh produce so that the company can offer more fresh fruit and vegetables. “Frisco.pl ‘s current database of active customers is already the equivalent of the customers from seven brick and mortar hypermarkets. Our response to the continuously rising demand has been to invest in a new warehouse, which will allow us to scale up our operations at least fourfold and develop a range of business models concurrently,” says Grzegorz Bielecki, the CEO of Frisco.pl. “Until now, when our number of orders was increasing rapidly, we had problems with recruitment to keep up with demand. As a result of greater automation we gain more flexibility, which allows us to process additional orders from our customers who care about short delivery times. Our productivity increase several times and our order processing costs fall by more than half,” he claims.

Frisco.pl, which is partly owned by Eurocash, is an online grocer that has been on the market in Poland for twelve years.
