High5ive gains smog-busting pavements
High5ive will consist of five buildings with a total of almost 70,000 sqm
POLAND Skanska will lay anti-smog pavements around its High5ive complex in Kraków. Almost 1,900 sqm of pavement that absorbs noxious fumes from car exhausts will appear around the third and fourth office buildings in the complex.

The first paving is to appear around building ‘A’ in December, while the second stage will be laid around building B in February next year. Catalysts in the paving break down noxious compounds such as nitrogen dioxide using energy from the sun.

“The problem of smog affects Poland’s largest cities where we build our office projects . With outr green concrete we will contribute to the fight against smog in Kraków,” says Marcin Pędrak, a project manager at Skanska.

The High5ive complex is under construction on ul. Pawia in Kraków. It will consist of five buildings with a total of almost 70,000 sqm.
