POLAND Acteeum and Equilis are to develop the Galeria Andrychów retail project in southern Poland with an area of around 26,000 sqm.

The centre is to be opened before the end of the year. “As well as providing all the typical features of a successful mall, our new project in Andrychów has from the very first stages of its development been designed to play a more important role on the local market than just another shopping centre,” says Tomasz Szewczyk, the managing partner of Acteeum Central Europe. “We believe that the role that malls play in the life of local communities is always changing. Like never before, people from large towns and their surrounding regions see a shopping centre as a place that caters to their expectations and aspirations. It is to be a place that residents identify with, where they can spend their free and provides satisfaction. We want Galeria Andrychów to become such a place in just over a year,” says Tomasz Szewczyk.
