Freedom of information for surveyors

Eurobuild CEE 30 July 2019

POLAND The Permanent Committee of the Council of Ministers has approved a number of reforms that should help surveyors.

The new law will mean that data including aerial photographs, previous gravity and magnetic surveys and land registry information is to be opened to the public. Originally these data were to be made publically available in 2016. The new law is also to abolish the minimum fee of PLN 30 to access the data.

Public data is to be updated on an ongoing basis without the requirement to submit an application and duplicated information held in other registries is to be deleted. The legal changes also specify who is to be responsible for maintaining the data integrity.
