Excellent performance by Galeria Jurajska
The 48,700 sqm centre is almost 100 pct leased

POLAND The Galeria Jurajska shopping centre in Częstochowa has been awarded BREEAM In-Use with a rating of ‘Excellent’ both for asset performance and building management.

“This is our eighth building in Poland certified in the BREEAM system this year and one that makes us especially proud. [Sustainable development] has become such a broad, comprehensive area today – it is not only about sustainable technology and materials, but also about creating a place that is friendly and good for the well-being of our visitors,” said Roman Bugajczyk, the head of retail at GTC.

The 48,700 sqm centre is almost 100 pct leased. The first half of 2019 was one of the most successful periods in its ten-year history of the mall. Despite the Sunday retail ban, Galeria Jurajska recorded a growth in turnover of 7 pct on average over the period, in which it was visited by 3.4 mln people.. In June the increase in turnover was a record 10 pct.

By the second quarter of 2019, as many as 14 brands had opted to extend their expiring lease agreements. The tenants include those of the LPP Group (Reserved, Cropp, Home & You, House, Mohito, Sinsay), the Inditex group (Zara, Bershka, Stradivarius, Massimo Dutti), TK Maxx, C&A, RTV Euro AGD, Intersport, Empik, H&M, New Yorker, Smyk , Rossmann, Sephora, Super Pharm, Biedronka, Douglas, Carry, TruTrussardi and Apart.
