Go Sport to set to go from Polish market

POLAND Rallye, the owner of international sporting goods retail chain Go Sport, has announced that it has entered negotiations with Singaporean company Sportmaster regarding the sale of its Polish subsidiary, Go Sport Poland.

The group’s intention is for Go Sport to focus on the French market again.. The company was founded in the 1970s and it currently operates 214 stores in France and 76 outside its home country.

Go Sport Poland, which has been active on the Polish market since 1999, currently has 33 brick-and-mortar stores. The company is a distributor of several sports brands, including Adidas, Nick, Puma and Reebok. Apart from training equipment, its stores also offer skiing, swimming and cycling accessories.

The Sportmaster group is the third largest distributor of sports goods in Europe and has 520 stores across the world. The company operates in Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus and Ukraine and also has stores in China and Vietnam.
