Hotel coop thrives in Mielno

With the completion of the work, the complex now has 240 rooms and apartments and infrastructure greater range of services for families with children.

“In the new wing we have opened play rooms: for smaller children – a zone with a large pirate ship with slides and a ball pool; for the slightly older ones there is now a room with attractions for teenagers – with electronic games, foosball and air hockey,” reveals Maciej Szatkowski, the president of the cooperative that owns Blue Marine Mielno.

The spa zone has also been enlarged and the restaurant area modernised and expanded – with two new rooms, a lobby bar and a café. Two additional lifts have been installed, including a panoramic lift.

“The entire new wing and the changes we have made to the existing two buildings are in fact in response to the needs of guests. Some of them complained about the number of lifts and the fact that the buildings are not connected with each other. The expansion has allowed us to remove all these inconveniences – you can go from the apartment to the restaurant, as well as to the play and recreation areas without going outdoors,” adds Maciej Szatkowski.

After its expansion, Blue Marine Mielno is the largest holiday resort in Mielno. The complex has been built as a condo hotel, and the owners of the rooms and apartments are private individuals. It is one of two condo hotels in Poland managed by a cooperative established by the owners of the units four years ago. During this time, the resort has received more than 30,000 guests.
