Ikea decorates LivinnX
The LivinnX student hall has been developed through the conversion of a former factory
POLAND The Ikea store in Kraków now features a showroom that has been set up as a single-person bedroom from the LivinnX student hall.

Five other types of rooms can also be viewed in the new student hall on ul. Romanowicza 4 in Kraków, which has been developed through the conversion of the Telpod electronics factory by Golub Gethouse and US-based CA Ventures. The building has beds for 710 students with 290 single, double, three-bed and four-bed fully furnished rooms. Each has a living area with a kitchenette, a bedroom area and a bathroom and will be furnished by Ikea. “From the very start of the project, not only did we want to provide the residents in our student hall with a place to sleep, but also with the facilities that would allow them to study and pursue their passions, so it was quite natural for us to start working with Ikea, a company that has revolutionised the home furnishings market,” says Jakub Bartos, the head of the residential department at Golub GetHouse. “We have a great number of furnishings to meet student needs. We are glad that we had the chance to present them in a living project by working with the LivinnX student hall. We have now presented one such interior in our store. It is a studio apartment in a modern Scandinavian style, with a comfortable fold-out bed, a spacious wardrobe and a functional kitchenette with a table,” says Katarzyna Kuś, the interior design manager at Ikea Kraków. Unibep is the general contractor while the design is by IMB Asymetria.
