Multiconsult takes on Chopin Airport extension
Terminal A and the southern pier of the airport are to be extended

POLAND Multiconsult Polska has been chosen by PPPL to be the project supervisor for extending terminal A and the southern pier of Warsaw Chopin Airport.

The completion date has been scheduled for December 31st, 2022. Multiconsult will be responsible for the investor supervision and controlling the execution of all the work. The company will also ensure that the required quality standards and schedules are met. It will also be responsible for preparing tender materials, cost estimates and the work schedule. The company’s tasks will involve cooperation with specialist supervisors (including the Civil Aviation Authority) and other entities.

“Our task is to ensure that the work is carried out as planned and in accordance with the law. Working for Przedsiębiorstwo Państwowe ‘Porty Lotnicze’ is a big responsibility, as we are once again taking on a project of this scale,” declared Renata Mordak, the director of the transport division at Multiconsult Polska.

According to data provided by the airport in mid-August, more than 10.53 mln passengers have passed through Warsaw Chopin Airport since the beginning of 2019 – an almost 600,000 increase on the same period last year. This growth in traffic prompted the decision to launch the project.
