HUNGARY FLE has purchased the building of the French Embassy in Budapest. The period building dates back to the end of the 19th century and has a leasable area of around 1,500 sqm.

“We have been active in the CEE since 2016 and have deployed our capital in Hungary, Poland and the Czech Republic. After three years, we can proudly say it was the right choice to diversify our German and Austrian portfolio into the CEE. The performance of our assets is outstanding. As intended from the beginning, Budapest is our main destination with investments of app. EUR 140 mln in total. Our latest acquisition, the current French embassy, is an exceptional building in an outstanding location, which complements our portfolio perfectly and which we will refurbish in a way that its unique historic character requires, “ says Alexander Klafsky, the managing partner of FLE.

The asset is the eighth asset that FLE has bought in Budapest.
