POLAND Three new stations on Warsaw’s second metro line have opened in the city’s Targówek district – Szwedzka, Targówek Mieszkaniowy and Trocka in Praga district.

The company is to receive PLN 1.66 bln for the construction of the section in Praga district.

Rafał Trzaskowski, the mayor of the city, has also announced that another three stations at the other end of the line, in Wola, are to open in early 2020. The western section is 3.4 km long and includes the Księcia Janusza, Młynów and Płocka stations. Gülermak is the contractor this time in a contract worth PLN 1.148 bln. The construction of the final section of the western end of the line is to be completed in 2023, after the metro reaches Bródno district at the eastern end in 2022.
