ROMANIA Electrical systems designer Thales has doubled the size of its lease in the Orhideea Towers office complex in Bucharest by taking on an additional 5,300 sqm. The lease was brokered by JLL.

“Thales has become the largest tenant of Orhideea Towers, with almost 11,000 sqm of office space, which is around 30 pct of the area of the building,” says Maria Florea, the key client director at JLL.

Thales moved into the CA Immo owned centre at the beginning of the year. The LEED ‘Platinum’ certified development has a total leasable area of about 36,500 sqm and includes two ‘H’ shaped towers that are connected by a glazed bridge. The buildings have floor plate sizes of 1,200 sqm and 2,600 sqm.
