Metropolitan was designed by Norman Foster

POLAND The Metropolitan office complex in Warsaw has been re-certified under BREEAM from ‘Very Good’ to ‘Excellent’. The recertification was carried out by the building’s property managers from Colliers international.

“Such a high rating was achieved because of the building’s location, its facilities for cyclists, the installation of water-saving sanitary fittings and because of the special attention paid to the building’s maintenance including the introduction of a number of procedures for property maintenance and management that reduce the building’s impact on the environment and improve user comfort,” said Andrzej Gutowski, an associate director at Colliers International. In recent years the building’s HVAC, BMS and lighting systems have been replaced. Charging stations for electric vehicles have been created, which tenants can use free of charge.

“We have managed to reduce our electricity, water and heating consumption and have also introduced many upgrades for the building’s users and guests,“ said Łukasz Orzechowski, the manager of the building.

Metropolitan, which was designed by renowned UK architect Norman Foster, consists of three seven-storey office buildings with a total area of 37,000 sqm on Pl. Piłsudskiego. The tenants include Dior, Prada, Brunello Cucinelli, Tom Ford, Audemars Piguet, Bulgari, Cartier, Chanel and Fendi.
