Sweco on the bridge
The completion of the work is scheduled for 2023

POLAND Sweco Consulting is to prepare design documentation for road overpasses along ul. Lutycka and ul. Golęcińska in Poznań.

The documentation is to be ready at the beginning of 2021. The construction of a collision-free crossing over the railway line connecting Poznań with Piła is said to be a project of particular importance for the northern and western parts of the city – the railway lines make travel difficult at present. The winner of the procedure declared that it would shorten the deadline for completing the documentation by two months to 14 months from the date of signing the contract. In addition to preparing a building permit and detailed designs, Sweco Consulting will also obtain all necessary administrative permits and an environmental impact assessment of the project. The designer will also supervise the project in the course of the work. The documentation will cover the streets: Lutycka (it will be redeveloped from the junction with ul. Strzeszyńska to ul. Koszalińska) as well as ul. Golęcińska and ul. Podolańska. The extensions of al. Solidarności and a new exit and roundabout will also be designed. Furthermore, they plan to rebuild the existing road overpass so as to meet the needs of pedestrians and cyclists. According to the Poznań city council, the ,, scope and order of construction of individual sections of the project are closely related to the financial capabilities of the city. Specific decisions will be made on the basis of project documentation. It is initially planned that the launch of construction work will start in H2 2021, and the completion of the entire project, including the overpasses and road connections, is scheduled for 2023.
