A year in the life of Twierdza Kłodzko
Twenty tenants have opted to prolong their leases and two to take up more space this year

POLAND Most of the tenants of the Twierdza Kłodzko shopping centre in Lower Silesia decided to extend their lease contracts this year, while the Medicine, 4F and Apart stores have been enlarged or refurbished.

New brands have also opened in the 23,000 sqm centre, such as Ryłko, Big Star and Triumph. Clothing brand Medicine has moved to a different unit, increasing its floor space from 150 sqm to 360 sqm, while the 4F store has been enlarged from 104 sqm to 232 sqm. The Apart store has been renovated in line with the latest concept of the brand.

“Increasing the space leased with brands from the fashion segment fits into our strategy of enhancing the centre’s fashion range. We are expecting further openings,” comments Leszek Mazurek, the director of Twierdza Kłodzko.

“In 2019 we renegotiated 22 lease agreements in the centre. Twenty tenants opted for lease extensions and two others more than doubled their space. Most also decided to renovate or refurbish their units. This confirms that our tenants see the potential for the further development of their businesses in our centre,” adds Tomasz Nowakowski, an asset manager at EPP, the owner of the centre.
