Goodman on the offensive

“We are a long-term investor, developer and property manager. We approach each location carefully. We are currently present on every major market in Poland and we have also secured land in each of them. In the near future we will continue our projects in Gdańsk. Pomorskie Centrum Logistyczne, which is situated there, is already partly leased and we are also preparing another project in this location, on a plot adjacent to the Deepwater Container Port [Głębokowodny Port Kontenerowy]. This is a site with huge potential,” insists Goodman’s country manager Jarosław Czechowicz.
The developer is also planning new projects in other regions.
“We have secured land in Silesia – in Lędziny, near Tychy, which is alongside an expressway and where a building with around 110,000 sqm of warehouse space can be constructed. We are currently completing the building permit process for construction there. Our next location is Wrocław Magnice, where we have a site where around 240,000 sqm of warehouse space could be built. We are currently preparing the building permit for this project,” adds Jarosław Czechowicz.
The company is also doing the initial work for a project in Janki near Warsaw, where it has land with a building permit for app. 33,000 sqm of warehousing. It will also continue work on the 40,000 sqm Goodman Poznań III Logistics Center, which could be expanded by around 75,000 sqm. Work on extending Goodman Poznań Airport Logistic Center has also been completed to a new standard in line with the company’s long-term strategy.
“This is currently our most modern facility, which has been built according to the requirements of the BREEAM ‘Very Good’ certificate. What this means in practice is more roof skylights than required by normal standards, which means more light and greater comfort for employees as well as reduced electricity costs. Another difference is the provision of electric car charging stations and a smart metering system, which allows remote media management, thus enabling tenants to manage their space more efficiently and obtain additional savings. We also plan to install smart metering in future projects,” reveals Jarosław Czechowicz.
