Qubus returns to Katowice
Construction work began in November on what will be the twelfth Qubus hotel in Poland
POLAND Qubus hotel chain is to return to Katowice after a three-year absence.

Construction work began in November on what will be the twelfth such hotel in Poland. The investor behind the project is Hotel Inwest and the design is by Pracownia Architektoniczna Czora & Czora with interiors by MIXD. The building will have 5,500 sqm with 97 rooms as well as a restaurant, conference facilities a gym and an underground car park. “We are grateful to the city authorities for their support. We want our new hotel to be close to the city’s main offices, business centres and tourist attractions. In the new building we will focus on sustainability with a unique design to provide our guests with a hotel which is convenient for business and leisure travellers to be completed in less than 18 months. We are currently selecting the finishing materials and testing the systems proposed by our designers. We are going to use biodegradable and renewable materials in its construction and fitting out,” says Artur Hajduk, the CEO of Qubus Hotel. Qubus used to run a hotel in the city’s Altus tower building but the contract came to an end in 2016 and now the property houses the Courtyard by Marriott.
