7R to start new Pomeranian park

Opr./edited AZ 18 December 2019
7R to start new Pomeranian park
7R's last-mile supply chain is already supported by 7R City Flex Szczecin

POLAND 7R is to develop the 7R Park Gdańsk II warehouse complex in Kowale near Gdańsk. This will comprise three buildings with a combined area of app. 61,000 sqm.

Although construction work has yet to start, the first few lease agreements have already been signed. Tenants will include Rohlig Suus Logistics, which will occupy more than 12,500 sqm of warehouse space specially prepared for the company and that should be completed in August 2020. The Querco Property consultancy was responsible for acquiring the new location in Gdańsk for Rohlig Suus Logistics.

7R has already developed 7R Park Gdańsk in Pomerania as well as 7R City Flex Gdańsk Airport, which was put into operation this year.

“The building in 7R Park Gdańsk II is the second project we have carried out together with 7R. This cross-dock warehouse in the TriCity will be designed for the operation of our own systems for optimising logistics projects. Its modern cross-dock and convenient location will give us the opportunity to further develop LCL [less-than-container load] services, for domestic as well as international clients,” commented Artur Malarski, the director of contract logistics at Rohlig Suus Logistics.

The new complex includes warehouse, office and social space. it is situated off the TriCity bypass, which provides access to the A1 motorway and the southern S7 bypass as well as Gdańsk and Gdynia. Gdańsk airport and the DCT Gdansk Container Terminal are also nearby.

As with 7R’s other developments, 7R Park Gdańsk II will be designed to fulfil the requirements of BREEAM certification. The building will also be fitted with LED lighting and the so-called air stripper water purifier.

“We are continuing with our development plan across Poland by looking for new locations and investing in places we already know. Gdańsk is an important market for us because our first project, 7R Park Gdańsk, was developed here and it has been very popular among tenants since the very outset. I am convinced that 7R Park Gdańsk II will repeat its success, especially considering the fact that the region’s potential has been steadily increasing,” says Ryszard Gretkowski, a deputy CEO of 7R.

7R’s portfolio comprises large-scale logistics parks as well as small business unit type warehouses that form the 7R City Flex last-mile Logistics chain. The company is currently preparing 700,000 sqm in various locations across Poland.
