PKO Bank Polski to move in on Chmielna
Chmielna 89 is to be handed over to Globalworth Poland upon its completion in Q1 2020

POLAND PKO Bank Polski is to occupy 24,000 sqm – all the office floors of the Chmielna 89 building, which is being built by Cavatina on ul. Chmielna in central Warsaw.

This is one of the largest leasing transactions on the Polish office market this year.

“Its convenient location, the high standard of the building and the ability to adapt the space to our needs were some of the key factors in our choice. Around 2,000 employees of the bank will move to Chmielna 89 in H2 next year,” explains Rafał Antczak, a deputy CEO of PKO Bank Polski.

The 14-storey office building comprises 25,000 sqm of high-standard space, ground floor services and 370 sqm of green, cascading terraces.

“The Chmielna 89 building is distinguished by its exceptional architecture, excellent location and innovative technological systems. The strategy for our development operations for the next few years involves launching further projects, including in central Warsaw locations,” reveals Daniel Draga, a member of the board of Cavatina Holding.

In October Globalworth Poland signed a preliminary contract to buy Chmielna 89 together with the Tischnera Office development in Kraków from Cavatina, in a deal that is expected to go through upon their completion in Q1 2020.
