YIT to build cruiser terminal in Tallinn
The contract to be completed in the summer of 2021

ESTONIA Finnish construction company YIT has been appointed by the Port of Tallinn to build a new cruiser terminal in the Old City Harbour in a contract worth over EUR 13 mln.

The contract is for a three-storey terminal building with an area of around 4,000 sqm as well as a public promenade with a pier, a children’s playground and parking facilities with work on the contract to be completed in the summer of 2021. The project is to receive financing from the European Union its Inter-regional Baltic Sea Programme. The building will be heated using heat pumps while solar panels will provide it with electricity. Outside the cruising season the centre will be used for events, concerts and conferences.
