Rafał Ostrowski has over 17 years’ experience as a journalist. Before joining ‘Eurobuild CEE’ five years ago, he wrote for Wydawnictwo Murator and Shopping Centre Magazine, as well as for retailnet.pl. He has also written for many newspapers and magazines as a freelancer and prepared photo-reportages. Rafał graduated from the University of Warsaw in philosophy. He also completed postgraduate studies in text editing. For ‘Eurobuild CEE’ he covers most real estate sectors, including logistics, construction, office, residential and retail. He is also in charge of the film direction for Eurobuild TV.

POLAND The Medical University of The Łódź has awarded a consortium of Erbud and Budomal a PLN 40.5 mln ‘design-and-build’ contract to build the Brain laboratory and research building.

The Brain lab will form part of the campus of the Clinical and Teaching Centre [CKD] at ul. Muszyńskiego 1. It will comprise a new 5,000 sqm building is to be built as part of the project and two existing buildings will be renovated and adapted. The project is being financed under the Regional Operational Programme for Łódź province for 2014–2020.

In November 2019 Erbud was also awarded a contract by the university for the general renovation and reconstruction of a student hall and prior to this carried out the construction of a number of specialist clinics and server rooms for the Clinical and Teaching Centre.

Erbud has also recently signed contracts to build medical facilities with other institutions, including with the Silesian Heart Disease Centre for the construction of the Prof. Zbigniew Religa Silesian Clinical and Scientific Centre for the Prevention and Treatment of Environmental, Civilisation and Ageing Diseases (in September 2019) and with the Provincial Clinical Hospital for the redevelopment of the Podkarpackie Lung Disease Centre (July 2019). Prior to all this, the company has built or rebuilt: the Invasive Medicine Centre of the Medical University of Gdańsk, the Stanisław Leszczyński Hospital in Katowice, the Cape of Hope Clinic [Klinika Przylądek Nadziei] in Wroclaw and the Oncology Centre in Katowice.
