Record quarter for CDRL
Last year the Polish revenue generated by CDRL came to PLN 251 mln

EUROPE CDRL Group, the Polish owner of the Coccodrillo fashion brand and of Belarusian supermarket chain Buslik, generated its highest ever sales results in Q4 2019.

The sales revenues of the group’s Polish operations amounted to PLN 62 mln. During this period, Buslik generated PLN 67.4 mln from its brick-and-mortar stores while its online operations earned revenues of PLN 2.6 mln, which together are 94 pct more than in the same period of the previous year.

“The Q4 sales results of the CDRL group remain high and are satisfactory from our perspective. The October–December period was the best time last year in terms of turnover. The slight decreases in individual results compared to those recorded last year can be attributed to the unusual weather resulting in lower sales of winter clothing. But as a result of effective cost and product range optimisation measures, we have increased the gross margin of the Buslik stores and can still see further growth potential there,” comments Marek Dworczak, the CEO of CDRL.

Last year, the Polish revenue generated by CDRL came to PLN 251 mln, which was a 6 pct increase year-on-year. The Buslik chain recorded PLN 247.1 mln in revenue, up by 1 pct on the previous year. The online store of the Belarusian chain registered significant increases with sales amounting to PLN 7.8 mln for the whole year – a 93-pct increase on 2018.
